I guess this stems from my desire to photograph cool shit, and the amount of cool shit I see in my dreams, but it seems like I'm always trying to take pictures in my dreams and my camera never works. This has been an ongoing thing for me for years, especially since I got my DSLR a few years ago and started getting more serious about photography again. It's super common for me to be having an awesome dream taking place in an amazing location, so I decide to take a picture, and somehow I've always miraculously got my camera with me, but when I try to take the picture my camera doesn't work. Always. Without exception. Sometimes it's like I can't make it focus, but usually I just keep pressing the shutter release and nothing happens... No sweet dream photos for me

. More recently though, this has been a useful tool for me to realize that I'm dreaming, which enables me to go into a lucid dream state. I don't have the kind of lucid dreams that enable me to go anywhere and do anything I want like I've read about people doing, but it's still awesome to be able to think & react to the things I'm experiencing while dreaming knowing full well that it's all a dream with no consequences...
I'm super curious to find out if anyone else is having the same kinds of experiences, especially the photographers out there...
